Format: A4 (297 × 210 mm), landscape or portrait. Design is developed or adapted to the institution's requirements and applicable national standards.
Security Paper
- Grammage from 150 to 250 gsm depending on document type;
- two-tone or multi-tone watermark (custom design);
- visible and/or invisible security fibres with UV fluorescence;
- UV-dull paper — no base fluorescence, so UV security elements read cleanly;
- chemical sensitivity (CBS-1) — reacts to acids, alkalis, bleaching agents and organic solvents;
- 100% woodfree cellulose and optionally cotton cellulose.
Security Features
Printed security elements
- guilloche patterns with variable-geometry line grids, line width up to 50 microns;
- pseudo-relief (simulated emboss) grids on both sides;
- positive microtext, letter height up to 200 microns — readable only under magnification;
- anti-copy and anti-scan protection — hidden message appears on any photocopy or scan, invisible in the original;
- rainbow (iris) printing — continuous colour gradient impossible to reproduce by commercial means;
- UV-reactive inks — invisible in daylight, visible under ultraviolet light (yellow-green, green or other colours to specification);
- thermochromic ink — disappears at body temperature, UV-fluorescent;
- bleach-reactive VOID feature — customised hidden message appears on contact with bleaching agents;
- taggant ink — UV-fluorescent, instrument-verified;
- photochromic ink — changes under light exposure.
Optical Variable Devices (OVD) & Hot-Stamping
- 3DSeal — three-dimensional optically variable security element, hot-stamping in gold, silver or holographic foil — institution logo and design elements;
- demetallised optical security element with micro-images: map, stars, microtext from 35 microns, micro-image 110 × 110 microns;
- customised hologram, hot-stamped: origination at minimum 250,000 dpi; possible effects — kinetic effects, rainbow effect, micro lettering, nanoimages with letter height 5 microns, nanosculpture, achromatic images.
Numbering
- letterpress serial numbering in security ink with UV fluorescence;
- "Number in Number" design available;
- sequential numbering to agreed range.
Personalisation
Personalisation by digital printing in black ink, from the institution's database (XML or PDF format). Institution logo and colour elements (including National Qualifications Framework graphic where applicable) reproduced in full colour per approved layout.
